SURFACE PREPARATION: ON CEMENTITIOUS SURFACES

Surface to be applied upon must be free from dust, loose material, paint, oil, or any other material which may impair adhesion.

Mechanical means such as wire brushing & shot blasting can be used. Finally vacuum cleaning of all loose solids and liquids can be done if required.

All surface cracks should be filled up with proper sealants.

 

SURFACE PREPARATION: ON METAL SURFACES

Metal surface should be cleaned to remove existing paint, rust by appropriate mechanical or chemical means.

New surface should be de-greased and cleaned well

 

MIXING

Turn container upside down 6 hours prior to application.

Mix thoroughly using mechanical stirrer.

Over mixing more than 5 minutes may damage the particles and reduce insulation properties.

 

APPLICATION

Apply 3 coats of ‘MRO 4025 – HEATSHIELD’without any dilution by brush or roller at an interval of 2-3 hours.

Ensure that the coated area does not come in contact with water for at least one hour.

Apply with a quality brush, or roller.

For best results, Apply when surface and ambient temperatures are above 13°C and below 32°C.

After completion of full coating, it should be allowed to cure for 24 hrs. Drying time may vary due to temperature / humidity and surface condition.

 

AIRLESS SPRAYER:

Pump Ratio: 33:1 or larger

Volume: 1.5 gpm (5.7 lpm) or greater

Hose: 3/8” or larger with no more than 3’ of 1/4” whip. 1/2” hose recommended for Length above 50’.

Tip Size: 0.017” (for tight spots) 0.019─023” (normal use)

Pressure: Minimum of 3,000 PSI
