KF 600 – MRO 5001

By using ‘MRO 5001 – KF 600’ one can create fire break/ non-fire zones along the cable runs:

Vertical cable runs should be protected by coating the entire length @ minimum DFT of 2 mm.

Horizontal cable runs should be coated at a length of 1.5 meter after every interval of 6 meters @ minimum DFT of 1.6 mm.

Exposed cable channels should be protected on all sides even underneath. Apply a good opaque coat to the entire exposed part of the cable sheath. Spray gaps and spaces generously so that material can run into them. When calculating amount required, surface curvature of cable must be taken into account.

1. Current rating of the coated electrical cables is not reduced.
2. Dripping or dropping of burning cable fragments is limited in amount and time depending on the kind and intensity of the fire.
3. Escape routes and power supply can be used for a longer time.
4. Flames spread on cables and insulatng damage are delayed in the case of prolonged exposure to fire.
5. Significant extension of operative condition of cables.

Areas to be protected must be dry, clean & free from oil.

Before application the product must be thoroughly stirred.

The coating must be either applied with a brush or roller or using airless spray equipment. If necessary the product will have to be diluted with water depending on the method of application.

Read instructions on the container label of the product before use. The product safety data sheet (SDS) contains the relevant information regarding PPE, safe use, and physical & health hazards. Safety data sheet is available from MRO INFRA or your local MRO INFRA Channel Partner.

Store the product in covered area and not exposed to direct sunlight or heat as the product is water based and may dry up, losing its adherent properties.

All used and unused product should be disposed of in accordance with state regulations.
